Getting to the Guildhall

Tube, Bus, Taxi or on Foot

Please make your way to Guildhall as soon as possible after the Annual Investiture.

By Tube: the easiest, quickest, and most economical way to get to Guildhall is by Tube. After walking to Holborn station, take the Central Line eastbound to Bank station, and then walk to the venue via Gresham Street. Each leg of this journey takes about five minutes so, in all, you should arrive at the Guildhall in under 20 minutes.

By Taxi: you may wish to take a taxi which will take between 10 and 25 minutes, depending on traffic, but bear in mind that there will be hundreds of other guests trying to get to Guildhall at the same time and from the same starting point, so you may need to pre-book, queue, or share.

By Bus: the bus route would take at least 25 minutes. First is an eight-minute walk to Procter Street (Stop H), before taking the 133 bus towards Streatham, disembarking at Bank Station / Poultry (Stop K) after 10 stops, followed by a short walk to the venue.

On Foot: if you wish to walk, it is about a mile and a half via Holborn and Cheapside, which takes approximately 30 minutes.

The main, and only, entrance for guests attending the Grand Festival is the Guildhall Art Gallery entrance (marked B on the map above).
