Champagne Reception

The Board spent a long and arduous weekend tasting a number of different Champagnes on a memorable trip to France (see left), eventually settling on M. Brismontier Reserve.  Join us for a Champagne reception in the Old Library and see whether our efforts were worthwhile!

Dinner

The Catering Comittee of the Board has spent many a luncheon sampling and selecting some fabulous dishes for your delectation.  We have settled on:

Starter: Lemon verbena gin cured River Test trout, green apple and salted cucumber, heritage beetroot and sea purslane

We will be drinking: Pouilly-Fumé 2024 Domaine Treuillet

Main: Grilled Longhorn beef fillet, pressed potato with rare breed bacon, artichokes with green olive dressing, butter poached Hampshire asparagus

We will be drinking: Château Maison Neuve 'Cuvée Alexia' 2020 Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux

Dessert: Peach Blush - lemon verbena, white chocolate mousse, rosemary and peach compote, caramelised white chocolate

We will be drinking: Château Villefranche 2023 

Soft drinks are available on request.  With the selection above, few are expected to be served.

Speeches and Carriages

Toasts and formal proceedings will end at approximately 9.30pm. You are welcome to remain in the Great Hall until 10.00pm to enjoy the rest of the evening. 

All guests MUST be clear of the building, including the cloakroom, by 10.00pm.
